Vada was a member of Parkhill Baptist Church for 71 years. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, being in the mountains, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her selflessness and her love for other people.
Vada was a teacher at PHCA and a Test Proctor PCC for several years. She spent 55 years teaching Sunday School, and working with special needs children.
Vada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers, and her son Wylie Carter.
She is survived by her son Jimmy (Marsha) Carter and daughter Lisa (Lee) Watson; grandchildren Melanie (Mickey) Kavanaugh, Andrea (Galin) Nelson, Nathaniel Rogers, and Ashleigh Rogers; step-grandchildren Sterling (Meggan) Watson, Robin Vaughn, and Jessi (Mike) Lucas; great grandchildren Levi Kavanaugh, Ella Kavanaugh, Aaron Kavanaugh, Reese Nelson, and Emma Nelson, as well as numerous step-great grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
A viewing will be held Saturday July 8, 2023 at 9am at Parkhill Baptist Church, 4235 Parkhill Place, Pueblo, 81008, followed by the funeral service at 10am.
