Mrs. Lora Dotson, 59, of Salvonburg, Kansas, and a former resident of Huntsville, died Friday, August 13, in an Iola, Kansas hospital. She was born November 30, 1911 in Madison County, the daughter of John and Belle Maggard.

Mrs. Dotson was the widow of Dalton Dotson, a former Madison County Sheriff, who preceded her in death April 10, 1970.

Survivors include three sons, X Dotson of Hindsville, and Tem and Tom Dotson of Savonburg, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Lodema Sweet of Siloam Springs, Mrs. Lovada Winn of Catoosa, Okla.; five brothers, Floyd Maggard of Marsing, Idaho; Ansel, Neil and Ed Maggard all of Westville, Okla., and Kenneth Maggard of Copperas Cove, Texas and three held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 16, at the Huntsville Funeral Home with burial in the Whorton Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jim Hargis, Gene Shipley, Earl Davis, H. A. Williams, Kermit Dahlstrom and Jim Vaughan.
