Lodema Florence SWEET, daughter of John MAGGARD and Bell (WOODWARD) MAGGARD, was born Nov. 5, 1908 in Boston, Ark., and departed this life to be with her Lord on June 2, 1998 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 27 days.
Lodema was married to Louie SWEET on Sept. 29, 1933 and from this union were born four children: Helen, Arlan, Shirley and Ailene. She lived in the Westville area since the age of 21 in the early 1930's. She was a member of the Mountain View Church.
She was preceded in death by both parents; husband Louie; one brother, Floyd MAGGARD; and one sister, Lora DOTSON.
She is survived by: one son, Arlan (Bud); three daughters, Helen, Shirley and Ailene; four brothers, Ancil, Kenneth, Neil and Ed; one sister, Lovada: 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 5, in the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Westville with Bro. Larry Kindle officiating. Interment followed at the Westville City Cemetery.
