HAMLIN - Lafayette "Lafe" Adkins, 101, of West Hamlin Rt. 1, died last night in a Huntington Hospital. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include four sons, Elbert of Huntington, Everette of Spurlocksville, Arden and Orville of West Hamlin Rt. 1; a daughter Mrs. Julia Belle Farmer of St. Albans; two half brothers, Isaac of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Parker of Sweetland; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Miller of Branchland and Mrs. America Woodrum of Griffithsville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Koontz Funeral Home in Hamlin by the Rev. Ebb Cummings and the Rev. Elijah Adkins. Burial will be in the Walker Adkins Cemetery at Hager. The body is at the funeral home.
