James Robert Adkins, 70 years old, of Hager, died at 5 a.m. Monday morning at his home. Funeral rites were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the home. Burial was in the Luke Adkins Cemetery. Surviving are six sons, Ercel and Arvello Adkins of Sweetland, Ray and Arlie Adkins at home, Howard Adkins of Hager, and Esto Adkins of Moscow, Idaho; three daughters, Mrs. Joe E. Ward of Bristow, OK., and Mrs. Archie Stump and Mrs. Samuel Cooper of Griffithsville; two half-sisters, Mrs. Laura Lovejoy of Palermo and Mrs. America Woodrum of Alkol, a brother,Parker Adkins of Sweetland; two half-brothers, Isaiah Adkins of Oak Hill and Lafe Adkins of West Hamlin, and 12 grandchildren.
