Mrs. Catherine Nolte, 79, Valley Falls died June 23, 1965 at a Winchester hospital.
She was born Nov. 7, 1885, to Stephen & Cristina Karstens Meier in the Mooney Creek community near Nortonville and had lived in the Valley Falls area since 1940. Earlier she lived on farms in the Seneca and Horton communities.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and Altar Society at Valley Falls.
She was married to Charles J. Nolte, June 18, 1912 in Atchison, KS. He died May 21, 1964.
Survivors include a son, Vincent Nolte, Atchison; a daughter, Mrs. Lorene Darling, Norwood, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Browning, and Sister Amata Meier, and one brother, William Meier, of Atchison; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters, Gertrude Owen and Anna Chilsom, and two brothers, John Meier and Joseph H Meier.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Valley Falls with burial in the church cemetery.
