Levi Morton Nestle of rural Shepherd died Monday, Dec. 27, 1965 at the Central Michigan Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant MI. He was born February 27, 1887 in Gratiot County, MI and was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. in the Garber Funeral Home, Shepherd MI with Rev. James Estep officiating. Interment will be in the Salt River Cemetery. Mr. Nestle is survived by his wife, Lily; sons, Pearl Nestle of Shepherd MI, Robert Nestle of Mt. Pleasant MI, and Ernest Nestle of Flint; daughters Mrs. Ruth Smith of Shepherd MI, Mrs. Alice Davidson of Midland MI, and Mrs. Gretchen Ames of Shepherd MI; brother Dan Nestle of Sparta MI; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
