George Dickerson
George Dickerson was born September 5, 1905 at Nevada, Missouri, the son of Edgar Brownell Dickerson and Margaret Sarah Skelton Dickerson. He was married to Lucille Hale in the late 1940's. They were divorced and he never remarried.
A Nephew's Memories
George Dickerson was a large man with wavy red hair and a smile that would make you smile, easy going, likeable and I knew beyond a reasonable doubt that I was his favorite nephew or he at least gave me that impression…he had the ability to make friends very easily and as far as I was concerned he was my favorite uncle.
Time spent with Uncle George was time well spent and some of the stories that he told me when I was ten years old are still with me today after sixty three years.
An excellent mechanic and carpenter, George could build or repair anything. Truly a man of many talents and I almost forgot….He could also sing and was known to burst into song on certain occasions and could pass for George Jones.
If you didn't know my Uncle George, I sincerely hope that you have an uncle that you can have such fond memories as I do.
