Mrs. Barbara Schaefer Dies Suddenly

A solemn High Requiem Mass was read for Mrs. Barbara Schaefer in St. Joseph's church Tuesday at 9 a.m. The Rev. Robert Voigt was celebrant of the mass with the Rev. Robert Schulzetenberg deacon and the Rev. Richard Leisen subdeacon.

Mrs. Barbara Schaefer died suddenly at her home in Pierz Saturday at 8 a.m. at the age of 72.

Barbara Boehmer was born in Pierz on December 31, 1887. She married John Schaefer in St. Cloud on July 24, 1906. She was a member of the Christian Mothers society.

She is survived by the follwoing daughters and sons: Mrs. Weynard Johnston (Margaret), Chicago, Ill., Mrs. John Seifert (Mary), Minneapolis; Mrs. J. S. Weiss (Mildred), Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Bruce Cairns (Marcella), Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. LeRoy Thommes (Delores), Wadena; Joe, Rochester; John, Little Falls; and Jerome, Pierz. Three children preceded her in death. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alvin and Raymond Fischer, Gerald Wagner, Frank and Adolf Altrichter and Michael P. Meyer. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Christian Mothers Society: the Mesdames John Weber, Mary Langer, Anna Langer, Lou Virnig, Michael P. Meyer and Nick Schraut.
