Harry R. Drane, 69, of Cartwright Avenue died this morning at 7:30 in the East Liverpool Extended Care Center.

He had suffered a stroke April 12, 1982.

A lifelong area resident Mr. Drane was born Dec. 29, 1913 in Chester, West Virginia, a son Larry R. Drane and Minnie Cornell Drane.

He was a foremen at the former Taylor, Smith and Taylor Company in Chester, and retired as a foreman in 1978 from the Homer Laughlin China Company in Newell.

Mr. Drane was a member of the First United Methodit Church, its board of evangelism and was a trustee of the church.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Ruth Prescott Drane, whom he married Nov. 20, 1941, survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Virginia) Buckley of Wellsville, Mrs. Elinor Diehl of Columbus and Mrs. John (Charmaine) Wilkinson of Cheektowoga, New York, and a brother, Paul E. Drane of Leola, Pa.

Services are to held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Gibson.

Burial is to be in Riverview Cemetery.
