Dorothy D. Shaw, age 71, Joplin, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Shaw was born August 9, 1931, in Galena. Her parents were Roy and Maude (Merrill) Pigg.
She had lived in the Joplin-Galena area all of her life.
She was married to Gale Leon Shaw on December 25, 1948 at Columbus Kans. He died August 5, 2000.
She was a pastor's wife, sharing in her husband's ministry as he served the West Side Full Gospel Church, Webb City, for 20 years, resigning in 1998.
She currently attended the Joplin Full Gospel Church.
Surviving are two sons, Sandy Shaw and his wife, Doyla, Neosho, and Dave Shaw and his wife, Sherry, Joplin; one daughter, Vicki Hensley and her husband Mike, Carl Junction; one sister, Betty Karr, Baxter
Springs; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, one daughter preceded her in death.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena. Pastor John Myers officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
