Margaret McCarthy Kerrigan, of DeWitt, NY, and Old Forge, NY, passed away Monday at Menorah Park in DeWitt, NY. A native of Syracuse, Margaret was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and served as a bookkeeper in her family floral business, Quinlan Flowers on E. Genesee St. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and St. Bartholomew's in Old Forge. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard, in 1983. Surviving are two sons, Brian (Nancy) of Manlius and Terence (Diane) of Fayetteville; a daughter, Connie of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Marion McCarthy and Kathleen Caliva, both of DeWitt; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5 to 7 p.m., at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home, 3175. E. Genesee St. Contributions may be made to Holy Cross School basketball program. The family wishes to thank the staff at Menorah Park for their care and kindness to Margaret over the past five years.
