Jessie McCarthy Brown, age 94, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away February 1, 2008. Preceded in death by Edmund, her husband of 55 years, as well as two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Brown is survived by six children, Janet (Sami) Badre of Victorville, CA, Carolyn (Randy) Christ of Palm City, FL, Kathleen (Charles) McGowan of N. Ridgeville, OH, Theresa (Phillip) Dolbert of Clarkston, MI, Marian Jessie Brown (Joel Banks) of New Braunfels, TX and Martin Brown (Marybeth Ward) of Oak Hill, VA; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Margaret Kerrigan, Marian McCarthy, and Kathleen Caliva, all of Syracuse. Born in Onondaga Valley, she graduated from Onondaga Valley High School and attended Syracuse University. She was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church in Syracuse from 1943 to 1971. Since 2001, she had been a resident and communicant of St. Augustine Health Campus in Cleveland, where private services were held.
