Mary Jane, daughter of Birdge and Julia Rafferty Babcock, passed away on Monday morning Dec 4th, 1950 at the age of fifteen years, being born June 28th, 1935.

Miss Mary had been ill most of her life and had spent much time at the University hospital Minneapolis, where she was at the time of her death, being there since October 29th, this last time having undergone surgery for a lung infection.

Funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon, Dec. 7th at 1:30, and from the Zion Lutheran church at 2 o'clock, with the pastor, Rev. A. Muller officiating. "Nearer My God To The" and "God Loved The World So That He Gave" were sung accompanied by Miss Luella Kouska, organist.

Besides her parents she leaves to mourn her loss three brothers, Birdge Jr., Harold and David, and six sisters, Elaine, Mrs. Milford Busho, Austin, Irene, Mrs. Louis Meyer, Claremont, Eunice, Mrs. Ed. Koberstein, Nerstrand, Lola, Mrs. Leonard Boik, Austin, Beverly and Pearl at home, one grandfather, B. L. Babcock, besides many aunts, uncles and cousins, one sister Evelyn, and one brother Geo. preceded her in death.

Internment was at the Concord cemetery with the Hanson Funeral Home of Kenyon, in charge. Pallbearers were cousins of the deceased, namely Jackie Kartel, Donald Nelson, Marland Nelson, Stanley Elton, Harold Peterson.

Those from away attending service were Mr. and Mrs. Birdge Babcock Jr., son Enid of Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Milford Busho, Austin, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Meyer, Claremont, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Koberstein, Nerstrand, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Boik, Austin, Mrs.Lillie Peterson, sons, Marland and Donald, of Rochester, Mrs. Joe Kartel and Jackie, of Mason City Ia., and Mrs. Iver Johnson, of Zumbrota.
