Lucinda, the wife of James Warren Stivers and mother of Robert and Franklin P. Stivers was the daughter of James Washington Reid and Sophia Garrard Reid. Her great grandfather, James Garrard, was the second governor of Kentucky (serving from 1796 to 1804) and her grandfather, Col. Daniel Garrard, was one of the wealthiest and most enterprising citizens of early Clay, County, KY. She was sister to Theophilus T. Reid, Franklin P.(Junction City, CA), William, Joseph, Daniel Garrard Reid (Redding, CA), James Washington Reid Jr., and Stephen Bates Reid.
