Amelia Estelle (Burgess) Panzeco, born February 14, 1899, was the eldest daughter of Tom W. and Theo (Hendrick) Burgess. Estelle came to KS in 1908 and finished her schooling in the Ingalls area, graduating in the same high school class that her brother, Gage, did. She taught school in Finney County and then moved to Iowa to teach where she met and married Ross Panezco. After his death in 1947 she returned to college and earned her degree and taught again until her retirement. After that she spent her winters in Corpus Christi, Texas and summers in Iowa until she was no longer able to drive the long distance. At that time she moved to Sand Springs, OK where her daughter lived and made that her home until her death.
