Born Oct. 14, 1885 in New Madrid County, Mrs. Parker lived there most of her life, moving to Sikeston a year ago. She died at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Delta Community Hospital after an illness of two years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Her husband, J.U. Parker, preceded her in death almost a year ago.
She is survived by five sons, Ed, Jim, John and Bill Parker, all of Sikeston, and Donald Parker of St. Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Hatfield of Morley and Mrs. Dema Harrison of Fulton, MO.; a brother, William Baker of New Madrid; two half brothers, Louie Allen of Peoria, Ill., and Otis Black of East Prairie; three half sisters, Mrs. Mamie Adams, Mrs. Ada Wood and Mrs. Sally McMikle, all of East Prairie; a step sister, Mrs. Ida Phillips of East Prairie; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The body is in state at Nunnelee Funeral Home.
