Ada Wood

Ada Wood was born July 27, 1899 in New Madrid County, daughter of William M. and Mary Patterson Black. The sixth of seven children, Ada had a brother, Lee Otis Black, a sister, Mrs. Sally Katherine McMikle, and half siblings, William W. Baker, Mrs. Cora Mae Parker, Louie Allen and Mrs. Mamie Mae Adams.

In March of 1915, Ada married Lois Adolph Wood, who survives. The couple had a son, Kermit Wood, of Dallas, Texas.

Ada Wood died May 19, 1956 in East Prairie, at the age of 56. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 21, 1956. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery.
