William "Willie" Baker, was a son of William "Billy" and Mary (Patterson) Baker. He was the oldest of seven children. With the exception of his sister Cora Mae, all of them were half siblings from his mother's other two marriages. A half brother, Louis "Louie" Allen and half sister,Mamie Mae Allen were from his mother's marriage to Jim Allen. Willie's youngest brother,Lee Otis Black and two sisters; Ada and Sallie Katherine Black were from his mother's last marriage to William Marion Black

Willie Baker lived most of his life in New Madrid County where he was engaged in Farming. He never married nor had any children.

On January 13, 1963 at the age of 80, William W. Baker passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
