Mrs. Wascom died Friday, October 31, 2003 at LaSalle General Hospital, Jena.
She was a resident of Jonesville, a homemaker and a member of the Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wascom; father, A.C. Ewing; mother, Ida Robertson Ewing; daughter, Shirley Cox and infant grandson; brother, Tom Ewing; two sisters, Mildred Masters and Ethel Patten; and brother, Little Acie Ewing.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Nelson of Harrisonburg; son, Charles Wascom of Jonesville; brother, Bobby Ray Ewing of Jonesville; four sisters, Goldie Ewing and Jean Hale, both of Jonesville, Marie Carrico of Zachary and Yvone Masters of Monroe; grandchildren, Rachael Riley, Dennis Wascom, Shay Yates, Johnny Nelson and Robin Carpenter; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Wascom, Johnny Nelson, Anthony Morace, Delan Hale, Kevin Hale, Mark Hale, Lank Bass and Jermery Charpentier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Morace, Albert Hale, Dr. Riaz Chaudhry and John Whitehead.
The family will receive friends at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church from 5 p.m. Saturday until service on Sunday, November 2, 2003.
