Bertha Schank, 90, formerly of Willow Street, South Scranton, died Saturday morning at Mountain View Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of Herbert Schank, who died Aug. 13, 1990.
Born In Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Gustiv and Bertha Luntz Bohrer. Educated in Scranton public schools, she spent her years as a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, South Scranton, and American Legion Post 948 Auxiliary.
Surviving are a brother, William Bohrer, Scranton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded In death by six sisters, Anna, Louise, and Charlotte Bohrer, Emma Brownwell, Minnie Englehart and Hanna Bennet; and a brother, Gustiv.
The funeral will be Monday at 8 p.m. In the Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch St., with services by the Rev. Richard Bayles, pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call Monday, 6 p.m. until service time.
