Minnie Englehardt
Mrs. Minnnie Englehardt, 71, of 1003 Crown Ave., died Saturday in Mercy Heights Hospital where she had been a patient since Oct. 13. Her husband, Ernest, died in 1968.
Daughter of the late Gustave and Bertha Lentz Bohrer, she was born in Scranton and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild. A former Republican committee woman of the 19th Ward, Fourth District, she also was a charter member of the American Cancer Society's dressing unit.
Surviving are a daughter, Roberta, at home; a son, David, Maple Lake; five sisters. Misses Louise, Charlotte and Anna Bohrer, and Mrs. Herbert Schank, all of Scranton, and Mrs. Charles Braunwell, Weehawken, N.J.; two brothers, Gustave and William, Scranton; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from Trinity United Church of Christ with services by the Rev. Dr. Fred R. Manthey Jr. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the Strauch Funeral Home, 602 , Birch St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
