Anna E. Bohrer


Miss Anna E. Bohrer, 72, of 1001 Crown Ave., died Thursday in Mercy Hospital shortly after she had been admitted.


Daughter of the late Gustave and Bertha Lentz Bohrer, she was born in Scranton, and worked at the S. J.

Aronsohn Silk Mill in Petersburg 40 years prior to her retirement in 1972.


She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, secretary of its Women's Guild, a 40-year member of the church choir, director of its junior choir, and a teacher in the church Sunday School.


She was a former chaplain of the auxiliary to Post 948, American Legion, and vice president of the auxiliary to the Workingmen's Society.


Surviving are four sisters, Louise, at home; Mrs. Charles Braunwell, Brooklyn, N Y.; Charlotte, Scranton, and Mrs. Herbert Schank, Scranton; two brothers, Gustave and William, Scranton, and several nieces and nephews.


The funeral will be Monday with services at 11 a.m. in Trinity United Church of Christ. The Rev Dr.

Fred R. Manthey Jr., will officiate. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.


Viewing, Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch St. Memorial contributions maybe made to the General Fund of Trinity Church.
