Louise M. Bohrer


Louise M. Bohrer, 92, of 1001 Crown Ave., died Tuesday morning in Mercy Hospital after an illness.


Born in the home which she resided in all her life, daughter of the late Gustave and Bertha Lentz Bohrer, she was employed by Petersburg Silk Mill as a floor lady until retirement. She was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, South Scranton, where she taught Sunday School, was a member of its Womens Guild and a former member of its choir. She was a member of American Legion Poch Post 948 Auxiliary.


Surviving are two sisters, Bertha Schank, Scranton, and Emma Braunwell, Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, William, Scranton; nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by a brother, Gustave, and four sisters, Ann, Charlotte, Hannah and Minnie.


The funeral will be Friday with services at 11 a.m. in the Arthur E. and Brian A. Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch St., by the Rev, Richard Bayles, pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.


Friends may call Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
