Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Clenon Moore Keltner, 44, Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. C.D.T. with the Rev. Calvin Mouser in charge assisted by Shiley Beard. Mr. Keltner died suddenly at his home on Route 1, Friday, June 7, at 1:00 p.m. and had been in ill health for the past several years. He was born in Adair County, November 29, 1912 the son of the late Ed Keltner and Maggie Lee Beard Keltner. He united in marriage to Mabel Clark Keltner, November 30, 1935, and to this union two sons were born. Services were held from the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Brookside Cemetery. He was an elder in the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, as well as a member. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Keltner; two sons, Ralph M. and Robert Joseph, both of Route 1; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Keltner, Route 1; two brothers, Clyde and Calvin Keltner; three sisters, Mrs. Charlie Smith, Mrs. Clinton Tharp, and Mrs. Raymond Furkin, all of this city. Pallbearers were Glover Keltner, W. L. Farris, Winfrey Hayes, Hubbard Shreve, Manvil Moss and U. G. Marcum. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, June 13, 1957
