Mrs. Cleo P. Smith, age 67, died at her residence at 804 South Columbia Avenue on Thursday, July 22. She was a native of Adair County born September 23, 1908, the daughter of the late Edd and Lee Beard Keltner. Mrs. Smith was the widow of the late Carlie Smith and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Bobby Benningfield of Campbellsville; one brother, Mr. Calvin Keltner of Route 1, Campbellsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Clinton Tharp of Campbellsville and Mrs. Raymond Furkin of Campbellsville. Also surviving is one grandson, Todd Adams of Campbellsville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 24, with the Rev. Thomas A. Forester officiating. Interment followed in the Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Boyce Curry, Simon Meyers, Wilson J. Mitchell, Glenn Dattilo, Leonard Barnett, and H. E. Dowell.
