She was born Nov. 19, 1905, to Henry and Eva (Guilick) Buckles at Malaga. She attended school at Stemilt Hill.
Upon completion of her schooling, she married Wilbur Groff on Nov. 21, 1921, at Wenatchee. After their marriage they lived on Stemilt Hill where she worked in the fruit industry. In 1945, they moved to Wenatchee where she had lived since.
Mrs. Groff has been a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church and she was a charter member of the Stemilt Hill Grange. For 46 years, she helped conduct church services at Parkside Rehab and Care Center and she received a plaque for her dedicated service.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Vera) Goytowski of East Wenatchee and Mrs. Wallace (Velma) Boucher of Missoula, Mont.; one sister, Carrie Bennett of Wallowa, Ore.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975, one daughter, Thelma Woods, in 1995, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
