HUGOTON -- Fred C. Anderson, 87, Hugoton, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

He was born April 30, 1912, to George W. and Ella May (Waite) Anderson near Woods in Stevens County.

He was a retired farmer and worked for Northern Natural Gas Co.

He was a member of First Christian Church. He was past master and a life member of Hugoton Masonic Lodge No. 406 AF and AM.

He married Dorothy Fern Olinger Aug. 15, 1933 at Hugoton. She survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Dwayne Anderson, Hugoton, Larry Anderson, Ulysses, and Robert Anderson, Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Barbara Palmer, Hugoton; one brother, E. Budd Anderson, Hugoton; and five sisters including her twin, Fanny Kagarice, and Avanell Gaskell and Deanie Hall, all of Hugoton, Avis Curtis, Moscow, and Inez Ramey, Gainsville, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Owen, Deward, Vester and A. Jay; and five sisters, Murland Crawford, Marie Butcher, Agnes Allen, Illa Fern Anderson and Vella Stoops.

* Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Hugoton , with the Rev. Robert Bailey, Steven Anderson and Vernon Anderson presiding.

Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery with Masonic graveside service by Masonic Lodge No. 496 AF and AM.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Hugoton.
