She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 26 years, Lucian Martin Britt; her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Herron; six brothers, Collins, Elijah, Burts, Owen, Heber, and Robert; two sisters, Dorothy and Myrtis; and three grandsons, Christopher, Gregory, and Dean.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry Martin (Theresa) Britt and Dean Legrand (Mary Helen) Britt; two daughters, Lisa Marlene Burns (Jimmy Kiles) and Sandra Marie New (Tommy Hinson); two sisters, Lottie Snipes and Mary Ann Lynes; three grandsons, Tony, Michael, and Matthew; four granddaughters, Pheraby, Patricia Caroline, Anna, and Tabatha; and eight great grandchildren.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Barbara enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a people person that loved to laugh and play jokes. She loved her Church, her friends, and her family. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
A Funeral Service, celebrating her life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 358 E Pine Log Rd, Aiken, SC 29803, on Friday February 2, 2024 at 2 P.M.
The burial will follow immediately at Bethany Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday evening from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Brendon Reese, Brett McNeill, Creighton Lynes, Jamie Howell, Justin Lynes, and J.T. Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Barbara's memory be made to The American Heart Association.
