Graveside services for Mr. Mason Willis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Oakhill Cemetery, Oakdale, with Reverends Shannon Buxton and James Vandergriff officiating, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Willis, 85, of Plainview, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a faithful member of Gospel Lighthouse Church. He enjoyed hunting and working his cows. Mason was a kind man that never had a bad word, and his greatest love was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by one son, Claude Willis; his parents, Romelzy and Blanchy Willis; two grandsons, Brandon Willis and Erik Willis; three brothers, Memphis Willis, Dan Willis, and Vernon Willis; and four sisters, Minnie Paul, Sarah Jane McDaniel, Sarah Ann McDaniel, and Mae Strother.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Maggie Willis of Plainview; two sons, Wayne Willis of Plainview, and Autis Willis (Suzanne) of Plainview; one daughter, Blanchie Lejeune (Kevin) of Plainview; one sister, Margaret Strother of Plainview; and two grandchildren, Sam Willis (Kirstin), and Maci Willis.
