LAPORTE -- Edna L. Ryan, 84, of 1700 I St., died at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday in Countryside Place. Mrs. Ryan was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Union Mills and had lived in LaPorte County all of her life. On Nov. 18, 1972, in LaPorte, she married Michael Ryan. He died March 19, 1973. Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Budd of Walkerton, Dorothy Smith and Marilyn Barger, both of LaPorte; three sons, Charles Schadowsky of LaPorte, Clarence Messman of LaPorte and Willard Messman of Walkerton; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Wildt of LaPorte. Three grandchildren preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Haverstock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kingsbury Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until services Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
