CHRISTINA was the fourth of ten children born to Johannes Adam and Barbara (Zimmerman) Zehner. Their children were: Catharine, Maria, David, CHRISTINA, Magdalena Mary, Johannes "John", Henry, Benjamin, Jacob and Stephen Zehner.

Christina married Abraham Swartz, son of Jacob and Christina (Gorr) Swartz, sometime between 1809 and 1813 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. They became the parents of the following twelve children:

1. Daniel S., 1814-1886
2. Solomon, 1817-1898
3. Abraham, 1819-1911
4. Rebecca, b. ca 1821-1825
5. Anna, 1822-1889
6. Christina, 1823-1884
7. Leah Elizabeth, 1824-1855
8. Mary "Polly", 1826-1904
9. Lavinia O., 1830-1920
10. Jacob, 1837-1894
11. John, 1839-1921
12. Dena, 1842
