Mrs. Ocie Ola DeVaughn, 82, of 2035 16th St., died Tuesday morning in the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Nancy Jane McBride Archer, and was a member of the 7th St. UM Church. She was a member of the Spanish-American War Veterans Auxiliary, and of the Parkersburg Senior Citizens' Club.
Survivors include one brother, Ira S. Archer, Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Province, Mineral Wells, Mrs. Ada Swisher and Mrs. Edna Locke, both of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy S. DeVaughn, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Norman Butler, and with burial to follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon today.
