Ruth Ann Henning nee Crubaugh, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born on January 27, 1942, to Cleve and Goldie Hunter Crubaugh in the heart of Chicago.
Ruth was one of nine siblings: Betty Jean Crubaugh, William Crubaugh, Cleve Crubaugh, Norma Crubaugh, Jacob Crubaugh, Constance Crubaugh, Gerald Crubaugh, and Rosemary Crubaugh. Growing up, they shared a home filled with laughter, warmth, and a strong sense of kinship. These early years instilled in Ruth an unshakable commitment to her family.
In April 1965, Ruth embarked on a lifelong journey of love and commitment when she married Chicago Police officer John Thomas Henning. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership. Ruth's dedication to her family was boundless.
