Robert Foster Partridge married Mary Alice Martin, April 4, 1858, in Harrison County, Missouri. They moved to southwestern Iowa about 1866 and then moved again in 1868 to the St. Joseph, Missouri area. In the spring of 1870, they moved to Linn County, Kansas and remained for the rest of their lives. Robert Foster Partridge was a farmer.
According to his wife's obituary, they had 10 children--five sons and 5 daughters. Eight of the children that have been accounted for are: Sarah Matilda (1861-1879); Lucy J. (1863-1928); William J. (1865-1879); Susan Annie (1867-1951); James Foster (1870-1942); Charles Martin (1874-1947); Dora Ellen (1877-1952); Mary Alice (1880-1926).
Robert Foster Partridge died September 10, 1907 at his home one and a half miles southeast of Cadmus, Scott Township, Linn County, Kansas. He died of a screw worm infestation, an unusual health problem even for that period of time.
