Ada Gordon of Idaville Passed Away Wednesday Services to be Friday

Ada Gordon, age 78, of Idaville died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Hospital in Logansport where she had been a patient for one week.

Mrs. Gordon was born January 28, 1885 in Gibson, Illinois, the daughter of George and Margaret (Padgett) Hendryx.

She was united in marriage in 1904 to Luther Gordon who survives.

Mrs. Gordon had been a resident of the Idaville community since 1929 having moved here from the Chalmers community.

Surviving besides the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Helen Fieser of South Bend, Mrs. Velma Winegardner of Idaville and Mrs. Lucile Saylor of Burnettsville; a son, Donald of Warsaw; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Burbe Hendryx of Idaville and Carl Hendryx of Logansport and one sister Mrs. Pearl Chaney of Delphi.

Friends may call after noon today at the Miller Funeral Home in Monticello. Final rites will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. Raymond Skelton officiating and interment to be in the Chalmers Cemetery.
