Monticello – A memorial service for Helen /e. Jester, 92, of 1120 N. Main St., will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Voorhis-Draper Funeral home.
Mrs. Jester died at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 1996, in Home Hospital, Lafaette.
Born Oct 6, 1905, in Illinois, she was the daughter of Luther R. and Ada Hendryx Gordon. She was married to John Fieser who died in 1950. On Jan 9, 1965, in South Bend, she was married to Russell A. Jester, who died Jan 29, 1991.
Mrs. Jester had attended schools in Chalmers and Mishawaka.
Having resided in Monticello for six year, she previously had lived in South Bend for 20 years and Fort Lauderdale and Boynton Beach, Fla, for several years.
She was a resident of Monticello Health Care Center for three years and a member of Monticello United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four stepsons, Dean Jester, Gene Jester, Larry Jester and James Jester, all of South Bend; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lucile and Howard Saylor, Burnettsville, and Velma Winegardner, Monticello; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded in death.
The Rev. James R. Copeland will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of services Friday in the funeral home.
