A Celebration of Life ceremony honoring Carla Jean Hundley will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in the Rivercrest Chapel, 13329 S. Memorial Drive in Bixby. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Monday, June 5, at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service. Carla passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023 in Tulsa. She was 73.

Born March 13, 1950 in Sallisaw, Carla was the daughter of Willis Garland and Wanda Lou (Phillips) Lamb. Along with her brothers, Butch and Charles, Carla grew up in Sallisaw where her family owned a popular Movie Theatre. While in high school, Carla played basketball, volleyball, and worked in the family's business. She moved to Tulsa during her senior year, graduating from Webster High School in 1968. Carla met and married Lee Duncan in 1976. She accepted a secretarial position with the Tulsa County District Attorney's office where she remained a faithful employee for over 30 years. Carla was always the first to arrive at work and her strong work ethic was well respected by her colleagues. Following her retirement from the D.A.'s office, Carla began babysitting for several families around town. Family was Carla's top priority, protecting them no matter what! She loved caring for her children, grandchildren, and kept in touch with all of the families she served by babysitting. Carla was really looking forward to her first great grandchild on-the way! She loved scary movies and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder play basketball. May her memory be eternal in the hearts of all who loved her.

Surviving family include her children, Carrie Lamb, Ryan Holsapple and his wife, Katrina, Lynette Duncan, and Beth Negelein and her husband, Erik; her grandchildren Hagan, Keenan, Dayton and his wife, Amaris, Masey, Weston, Jackson, Katelyn, and Ethan; her uncle, Carl Phillips Jr, and several cousins, nieces and nephew.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
