Wilhelmina 'Mina' Siecks Lohmann was the daughter of Johann Fridrich Siecks and Johanne (Hanne) Wilhelmine Sophie Grube and the wife of Hermann Henry Lohmann. She was born in Schildesche, Westfalen, Prussia (Schildesche is a village several miles north of the city of Bielefeld). On 18 Jan 1826 she was baptised at the Schildesche Evangelisch (Lutheran Church). Her grandparents were Caspar Friedrich Siecks, Sophie Becker, Caspar Heinrich Grube, and Hanne Wehmeier. Her earliest known ancestor was Anton Henrich Siecks, b. 1741 Westfalen, Germany.
Mina married Hermann Henry Lohmann 5 Jul 1850 and they emigrated to America in 1852. Mina and her family lived at 613 Madison Street in Milwaukee. Mina's maiden name 'Siecks' is misspelled as 'Siska' on some records, including her death certificate. It is spelled correctly on St. Martini and St. Stephens church records.
