Truba was the youngest dau of Susan Ellen (Barnett) and Virgil Berry Montgomery. She attended Non Elem. and Gerty HS where her tall stature ensured a spot on the basketball teams. She married Robert "Bob" M. NICKELL, Oct. 5, 1940, at Centrahoma, OK. They resided a short time near Ada, then moved to Wichita, KS where she worked in the plants during WWII. A few years later, they moved to Calif and lived there where she retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Co. in Long Beach, as a supervisor, moving back to Ada. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. She always worked hard, cared for her home, and was ready with a wonderful meal when someone 'dropped' in. She loved to cook, sew and garden. Although no children of her own, she always loved and had time for her nieces/nephews, as well as her husband's. She and her husband shared 54 years together, and throughout the years, enjoyed many hours of fun and companionship with friends and family.
