Mrs. Stella Allison
Mrs. Stella Mae Allison, 89, of 4th St., Chester, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Weirton Medical Center following an illness of two weeks. She was born in East Liverpool Oct. 3, 1895, a daughter of the late Frank Leonard and Edna Leonard. Mrs. Allison was formerly employed at the Homer Laughlin China Co. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Her husband, Otis A. Allison, died in 1943. She is survived by two sons, James E. Allison of Chester and Robert L. Allison of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. James (Maxine) McCoy of Aliquippa and Mrs. Pirl (Dorothy) Gibbs of Chester; two brothers, Roland Leonard of East Liverpool and George Leonard of Washington state; six sisters, Mrs. Hazel Kiser of Niles, Mrs. Minnie Grubbs of Colorado, Mrs. Grace Scheppe of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Betty Schneider of California, Mrs. Mildred Lisk of East Liverpool and Mrs. Wilma Cook of Akron; eight grandchildren and five great - grandchildren. Services are to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Arner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Howard Bailes officiating. Burial is to be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
