Son of Otis and Stella Allison. He was a graduate of Chester High School, WV and earned a BA in Business from Urbana University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam (1951 – 1971). His service took him and his family from Ohio to Texas, North Carolina, Florida, California, Germany and back to Ohio. He retired from General Electric (1972– 1992), and was a member of North Church of Christ, Columbus OH. He was part of the "Honor Flight" in October of 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 58 years, Doris Jean Allison; sisters, Maxine McCoy of Aliquippa, PA, and Dorothy Gibbs of Chester WV; and brother, James Allison, Chester, WV. He is survived by his daughters, Sue Allison Roberts, Kay Allison Resch (Kevin); son, Richard A Allison (Julie); six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
