Lois was a faithful and active member of Iberia First Christian Church, where she was baptized in 1972. She took pleasure in reading, sewing, working on puzzles, tending to her garden, and recently picked up coloring pictures for her family and friends as a favorite pastime. Lois had a knack at restoring old tractors and helping Jack with his heavy equipment business.
Lois always welcomed the company of her close-knit family. She was an avid fan of the Iberia Rangers and could always be seen cheering on her grandchildren during their various school events.
In addition to her husband, Jack Prater, she is also survived by two daughters, Vicki (Michael) French of Dixon and Lisa (Bruce) Moore of Camdenton; six grandchildren, Emily (Andrew) Trotter, Monte (Whitney) French, T.J. (Jordan) Moore, Cooper (Jordyn) Moore, Cody (Amber) Moore, and Kylee Moore; three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Julia, and Jolene with two on the way; three siblings, Larry (Orvene) Sloan, Donald (Elaine) Sloan, and Janice (Ronnie) Hedges; sister-in-law, Anna Sloan; brother-in-law, Leslie Maylee; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
