She was born Sept. 10, 1942, in Iberia, a daughter of Edgar E. and Mabel Viola Rowden Sloan. Her mother survives in Dixon. She was married Sept. 1, 1962, in Iberia, to William Leslie Maylee, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Iberia High School, she was an over-the-road truck driver at Prime Trucking and Doolittle Trailers for 18 years. She was a member of Retreads, an organization that benefits children's charities.
Other survivors include: six sons, Bruce Maylee and Dale Maylee, both of Iberia, Denny Maylee, Holts Summit, Darryl Maylee, New Bloomfield, and Jimmy Maylee and Herbie Reed, both of Fulton; three brothers, William E. Sloan, Larry Junior Sloan and Donald Gene Sloan; two sisters, Lois Marie Prater and Janice K. Hedges; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. Bill Eickhorst will officiate. Burial will be in Summit Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Holts Summit.
