Edwin Lyle, died at her home in Hickory, Wednesday, October 13, 1948, following a lengthy illness. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary McGough Neal and was born at Dinsmore Station, September 25, 1872. Mrs. Lyle was a member of the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian Church, Hickory, where she was an active worker in the Sunday School and Missionary Society. She was also a member and past president of the Mt. Pleasant Township Society of Farm Women and a member of the Women's Temperance Union, Hickory. Besides her husband, J. Edwin Lyle, she is survived by three sons, Robert R. Lyle, of College Station, Texas; Clifford G. and Donald N. Lyle, at home, also by one daughter, Anna Lyle, at home and one brother, Robert Neal of Pittsburgh.
