Wilson, OK - Services for former Wilson resident Alva Lee Garrison Crabb, 94, Burleson, Texas, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Cundieff officiating. Interment will be at Hewitt Cemetery.
Born March 2, 1908, in Lamar County, Texas, to the late Jesse N. and Helen O. Whitaker Garrison, she died Feb. 17, 2003, in Burleson, Texas.
She moved from Texas to Francis as a child, then to Wilson. She and Luther Lee Crabb were married on May 9, 1928, in Hewitt. Following the death of her husband on Aug 2, 1993, she moved to the Fort Worth, Texas area. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Merdia and Effie, a brother, Denver; and great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, J. W., Bedford; Texas; four daughters, Mary H. Mizer, Atwater, Calif., Betty R. Clapp, Burleson, Nadine Fisher, Fort Worth, and Wanda L. Maddox, Clemson, S. C.; three sisters, Lois Jenkins and Bea Byers, California, and Marie Penrod, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons, Mile and Bruce Clapp, James Fisher and Aaron Cundieff.
