Woodrow Isaiah Adkins was the son of Dewey Woodrow [Earl] Adkins and Gladys America Perkins. He married Joyce Marie Burks.

WOODROW ISAIAH ADKINS, 64, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 23, 2004, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2004, at Hall Funeral Home by Rev. Eddie Salmons. Burial will follow in Adkins Family Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio. He was born July 8, 1940, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Woodrow Dewey and Gladys Perkins Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Julie Marie Adkins and special aunt Eva Perkins. He is survived by his companion, Patty Horn; daughter, Brenda Sue McComas of Huntington and son, Woodrow Adkins of Hickory, N.C., and their mother, Joyce Smith; four grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Short of Huntington and Lena and Joe Willard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; special friends Roger, Terry, Bill and Keith Lucas, and Sheila Leffingwell; and many special nieces and nephews.
