Eva Mae Short, 76, of Huntington, WV passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at home. She was born December 30, 1941 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Woodrow Dewey and Gladys Perkins Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Woodrow Adkins; her sister Elizabeth Dishman; and sister-in-law Joyce Smith. She is survived by four children Kimberly Johnson of Huntington, WV, Laura Adkins of Huntington, WV, Larry Short of Chesapeake, Ohio and Thea Short of Huntington, WV; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister Lena (Joseph) Willard of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law Cecil Dishman of Chesapeake, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Norway Avenue Church of Christ. Funeral service will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Minister Jake Copley and Joseph Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Adkins Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
