Fronie (Cobb) Watson
Fronie (Cobb) Watson, 84, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Todd-Aikens Health Center in Franklin. She was a longtime resident of Franklin.
She was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Madison County, Ala. Her parents were William and Magnolia (Kilgore) Cobb. She married Donald C. Watson on Aug. 25, 1945, in Franklin. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Bettie Gholston of New Whiteland, Nell Pettit of Franklin, Janice Watson of Nashville, Tenn., and Donna Watson of Greenwood; a son, Donald W. Watson of Bowie, Md.; a sister, Margaret Shriver of Huntsville, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepfather, Robert Brazelton; three sisters; and one brother.
She was employed by Indiana Masonic Home as a nurse's assistant for 14 years, retiring in 1978.
She was a member of Amity Baptist Church and its Missionary Society.
The Rev. Ronald Ellis will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Amity Baptist Church. Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Amity Baptist Church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
