Donald Clinton Watson
Donald Clinton Watson, 84, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at Todd-Aikens Health Center in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Trafalgar. His parents were Virgil and Cordelia (Green) Watson. He married Fronie (Cobb) Watson. She preceded him in death April 9, 2003. Survivors include four daughters, Bettie Gholston of New Whiteland, Nell Pettit of Franklin, Janice Watson of Nashville, Tenn., and Donna Watson of Greenwood; a son, Donald W. Watson of Bowie, Md.; a brother, Lawrence Watson of Beech Grove; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter in 1963 and nine siblings.
He graduated from Trafalgar High School.
He was employed as a supervisor at Arvin in Franklin, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of Amity Baptist Church. He helped form and was a member of Amity Volunteer Fire Department.
The Rev. Ron Ellis will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Amity Baptist Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home, 951 N. Main St. in Franklin and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
